Our commitment to combating modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.
Gemini AMPM Ltd (company number 03437130) is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking, both within our own business and across our supply chain.
While our annual turnover is below the £36m threshold at which a formal section 54 statement is mandatory under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we publish this statement voluntarily to align with the expectations of our clients, framework partners and the public-sector procurement portals through which much of our work is awarded.
Gemini AMPM is a fire safety, security, ventilation, gas suppression, passive fire and life-safety contractor headquartered in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We are an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) and a wholly owned subsidiary of AMPM Group Limited. We employ directly-engaged engineers, supplemented by sub-contracted specialist labour where appropriate to scope and accreditation.
Our supply chain comprises:
The majority of our spend is with UK-incorporated suppliers and manufacturers, with secondary spend across European-headquartered manufacturers. We do not directly source labour or product from jurisdictions outside the UK or EU.
We assess that the modern-slavery risk in our direct operations is low: we employ directly through PAYE under formal contracts with appropriate right-to-work checks, our supply chain is predominantly UK-based, and the materials we install are produced by tier-1 manufacturers operating under their own published modern-slavery commitments.
The primary residual risk sits in our use of sub-contracted labour for peak workload, where the contractual chain can be longer. We mitigate this through:
We maintain the following policies and procedures relevant to combating modern slavery:
Modern slavery awareness is included in our induction for new employees. Operational and procurement staff receive specific guidance on identifying potential indicators in the supply chain and on the reporting routes available.
We have not identified any cases of modern slavery in our business or supply chain in the current or previous financial year. We will continue to monitor and report annually.
Any person with concerns about modern slavery in our business or supply chain can report them confidentially to [email protected]. Concerns can also be reported to the UK Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.
This statement is published with the approval of the Board of Gemini AMPM Ltd and will be reviewed and reissued annually. [LEGAL/BOARD: confirm signature, name, date and role for next publication cycle.]
