Commercial cooling is a regulated trade, not a bolt-on. Gemini AMPM installs, services and repairs air conditioning with F-Gas certified engineers — split systems to full VRF — keeping refrigerant where the law says it belongs and energy bills where your budget needs them. One team covers install, maintenance and emergency repair.
We install the full range of commercial cooling: split and multi-split systems for individual spaces, VRF and VRV for whole buildings, ducted systems, ceiling cassettes, wall and floor units, and chillers where the load demands them. Equipment comes from the manufacturers that dominate the field — Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba, Hitachi, Fujitsu, LG and Samsung — selected for the job, not for the margin.
Sizing is where air conditioning is won or lost. An undersized system runs flat out and dies young; an oversized one short-cycles and wastes capital. We calculate loads properly, design around how the space is actually used, and specify modern inverter-driven kit with lower-GWP refrigerants — which cuts running costs now and keeps you ahead of refrigerant phase-downs later. Replacing ageing plant often pays for itself in energy alone.
Refrigerant is regulated for good reason, and the F-Gas Regulation puts real obligations on system owners: leak checks at frequencies set by the refrigerant charge, certified engineers for any work on the circuit, and records that prove both. Our engineers are F-Gas certified, so every install, service and repair keeps you on the right side of the rules — and we handle TM44 energy inspections, the statutory assessment for larger air conditioning systems.
Servicing itself is straightforward and relentlessly worthwhile: filters cleaned or changed, coils washed, condensate drains cleared, electrical connections checked, refrigerant charge verified and any leaks traced. When a system fails, a named engineer responds within 24 hours. For a maintenance quote or a system design, get in touch — one conversation covers install, servicing and compliance.
If your air conditioning contains fluorinated refrigerant — almost all commercial systems do — you have legal duties: leak checks at intervals set by the size of the refrigerant charge, all work on the circuit done by F-Gas certified engineers, and records kept of refrigerant added or recovered. Fines for non-compliance are real. A maintenance contract with certified engineers discharges the practical burden and produces the paperwork automatically.
TM44 is the CIBSE methodology behind statutory air conditioning energy inspections. If your building has systems with a combined effective rated output over 12kW, an accredited assessor must inspect them at least every five years, and the report is lodged on the national register. It is a legal requirement, not advice — and a useful one, since the report identifies oversized plant, poor controls and savings you can act on.
We will give you the honest arithmetic. Age, refrigerant type, failure history and running cost all feed the answer: a ten-year-old system on a phased-down refrigerant with a leaking circuit is usually not worth another compressor, while a well-maintained system with one failed component usually is. Modern inverter kit can cut cooling energy dramatically, so replacement sometimes pays for itself. Either way you get the numbers, not a sales pitch.
A named engineer, not a call centre, comes back within 24 hours. Tell us the building and what you’re dealing with, and we’ll scope it properly.
